Regulator of Social Housing
IMPAKT is a Registered Provider of Social Housing, registration number H3858. We are regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing, which sets the standards all social landlords in England must meet.
As a landlord of more than 1,000 social homes, we are subject to the regulator’s inspection programme, carried out at least once every four years. We will publish any regulatory judgement here.
We publish our self-assessments against the consumer standards, and the tenant satisfaction measures we report to the regulator. Both are on our [housing performance page].
Charity Commission
IMPAKT is a registered charity, number 801035, and a company limited by guarantee, number 02337961. We are regulated by the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
Our board of trustees are also the company’s directors. They are responsible for IMPAKT’s strategy, for its finances, and for making sure the charity does what it exists to do.
We file annual accounts and a trustees’ annual report with both the Charity Commission and Companies House. Both are published in Our Impact & Finance.
Fundraising Regulator
IMPAKT is registered with the Fundraising Regulator. We follow the Code of Fundraising Practice, which sets the standards for how charities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland ask for and handle donations.
If you are unhappy with how we have fundraised, tell us first. If we do not put it right, you can take your complaint to the Fundraising Regulator.
Trusted Standard
IMPAKT holds Level 2 of the Trusted Standard, NCVO’s quality mark for charities. It is a voluntary standard, awarded after external assessment.
Assessors review our documentation and interview trustees, staff and volunteers against eleven quality areas, including governance, financial management, and how we measure the outcomes of our work. Level 2 requires evidence that we plan for the long term and review our own practice, not only that systems are in place.
We were awarded Level 2 in 2024. The award runs for three years.
Information Commissioner’s Office
IMPAKT is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a data controller. We handle personal information about residents, clients, staff and supporters, and the ICO regulates how we do that.
Our privacy notices explain what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. If you think we have handled your information wrongly, tell us first. You can also complain directly to the ICO.

SafeLives’ quality mark for frontline domestic abuse services, held by our domestic abuse teams. It is independently assessed and awarded only to services that evidence safe, high-quality practice.

We are part of the government’s Disability Confident scheme. We commit to inclusive recruitment, to making reasonable adjustments, and to supporting disabled staff to stay and progress.

Certified by the CPD Certification Service. It recognises employers who invest in continuing professional development for their staff.
