On Wednesday 8th September we had the privilege of celebrating our staff and volunteers who have reached key milestones in their time spent within the organisation. 

We were pleased to welcome Ismail Anilmis Deputy Lord-Lieutenant to the event to help us celebrate one specific member of staff’s long service achievements, our CEO Paul Hunt for marking 20 years.

Paul joined the organisation, in 2001 as a part time financial administrator having been a full time stay at home dad until then. Based at Weaver House, he worked his way to the Operations Manager role before becoming our CEO in 2008.

During his time as our CEO Paul has seen our services grow from a small Bedford based YMCA serving the homeless through two accommodation projects, to an organisation spread across the county. Under his leadership we now not only have a portfolio of nine properties (and growing), but deliver projects that offer domestic abuse services, youth and family outreach, in-house training, a community larder, charity store and recycling store. 

Paul is a compassionate and determined leader whose vision has shaped who we are today.
