There are many ways to celebrate significant birthdays but I’m not sure many of us would celebrate turning 60 by choosing to wing walk! Yet our very own Bernice is doing just that.
On the 1st of August Bernice will be taking off from Damyns Hall Aerodrome Upminster Essex and instead of sitting safely buckled in to a seat she will be buckled on to a harness on the outside of the plane! Yes, it sounds scary and crazy to us too.
‘As you may know I turned 60 in May and decided that I would like to do a Wing Walk to celebrate and take the opportunity to raise some money for a couple of good causes”. Said Bernice
“I’m aiming to raise £250 to split between Bedford Hospital NHS Trust and Impakt Housing & Support, the charity I work for”
